Judge's comments: "'Bobby and Coco Best Friends Forever' is a spectacular piece and an important painting
that has a great story. It reads very powerfully from a distance.
However, once you study it up close there are many things that you discover that are very inventive.
For example, the halo effect around Bobby's head that is constructed out of the dryer window.
I love the charming dog, so well painted, as are the hands. Then you discover that Bobby is an amputee.
I didn't see that right off and yet it adds so much to the work and the story.
It is charming, innovative, imaginative, and a wonderful positive message."
